Other series include Correspondence, with a few folders of personal correspondence, 1902-1940, undated; Meeting Minutes of various Central Michigan University (CMU) organizations and committees, 1932-1940; Reports of CMU and educational organizations, 1919,1939; Speeches Dr. Warriner gave, 1906-1942, undated; Subject Files, 1896-1948, including CMU football scores, 1896-1939, and two student papers about Dr. Warriner, 1952, undated; Dr. Warriner's Writings, 1900-1935, undated; and 3"x5" index cards, indexing his correspondence, 1882-1939, undated (2 small boxes). The collection provides good documentation on Warriner, his interests, such as Prohibition and Temperance, ideas, and education and CMU related issues of interest during his tenure as CMU's president, such as Women's Suffrage and football.

Eugene Clarence Warriner was born in Earlville (Ill.) in 1866. He graduated from high school in 1884 and then taught in rural schools for three years. On June 27, 1890 he married Ellen, with whom he had three children, John E., Paul (d. 1917), and Mrs. Harold Bohn. Dr. Warrier earned an A.B., with honors, from the University of Michigan in 1891.
